You already know what you want out of college. You know what you want to study. You’re ready to dive deep into your passion project. Get where you want to go with the Business Leaders special focus area in MBU’s co-educational University College.

You’re on the track toward a business degree immediately when you arrive on campus. As a first year, you can plug into opportunities at our small university that are usually reserved for upperclassmen or graduate students.

Know that an MBU education is always grounded in the liberal arts — which hones a nimble mind and stokes your creative potential. What the Business Leaders focus area does is accelerate the process of building your expertise and growing your network.

Options available to you

  • Skip your senior year of high school or enter right after graduation.
  • Complete your BA in three years
  • Earn your BA and MBA in four or five years

Build a marketing plan for local Staunton businesses in your first year at MBU

Professional Networking

The small class sizes and one-on-one relationships with professors at MBU give you access to a network of opportunities, and these improve your own networking skills so you’ll be ready to start the start-up after graduation

Optional master’s degree

Four- and five-year MBA programs available to package with your undergraduate degree

You can also choose to complete your bachelor’s degree in three years

Admissions Criteria

  • Minimum GPA 3.0 and 1000 SAT or equivalent ACT score

Options available to you

Additional program features

  • Complete an Entrepreneurial Life Plan
  • Plan, launch, and analyze an original business venture throughout the four-year program
  • Job shadowing, internship placements, and consulting with local entrepreneurs through the Staunton Makerspace, Staunton Creative Community Fund, and downtown development organizations
  • Major in arts management, business, criminal justice, health care administration, marketing communication, political science, or any other major offered at MBU
  • Study abroad: If you are interested in completing your bachelor’s in three years, you can still study abroad. MBU’s May Term is the perfect opportunity for students in this program to have meaningful international experiences led by MBU faculty. (If you want a longer study abroad, it may take longer to graduate.)
