Fall 2013 — Vol. 26 No. 2
Just a few weeks ago, students, faulty, and staff celebrated Apple Day — one of the longest-running and most revered annual traditions at Mary Baldwin University. In the Boldly Baldwin cover story, you’ll find Apple Day reflections from generations of alumni, as well as evidence of how the event roots the college in history while encouraging the institution to evolve. Of course, apple recipes are central to the story, too. This issue also offers an update about the Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences, a change of command in the Virginia Women’s Institute for Leadership, and news from around campus.
Inspired by the simple beauty of an apple, graphic designer Phoebe West illustrated a fruit imprinted with the Mary Baldwin University seal.
