Each residence hall room is served by the Mary Baldwin Television system. The cost of cable television programming is included in your comprehensive student fees. You will not receive a bill for cable television service. Problems with television reception should be referreed to the OIT Help Desk at 887-7075.
The cable television system currently has over 50 channels. Channel 2 is a campus bulletin board called Squirrel Vision and carries information on student activities and programming. Channel 21, Mary Baldwin TV, has a variety of student-produced programs and carries the Campus Cinema movies.
If you have a cable ready TV, you may connect your TV directly to the cable outlet in the wall with a coaxial cable. Be sure that your coaxial cable is long enough to connect from the wall outlet to the TV. Also be sure to use a good quality cable. Replace your cable is the ends are damaged. That will ensure better picture quality.

If a service call is necessary, am OIT technician will visit the residence hall room on an appointment basis. The student requesting help MUST be in the room during the service call.
There is no charge for routine repairs. However, if the student or an authorized person is not there for a scheduled service call, a fee may be charged for the missed appointment.
