MFA Company Launches New Season

Rogue Shakespeare, the 2013-14 Master of Fine Arts company for Mary Baldwin University’s Shakespeare and Performance program presents its first production of a five-show season.

rogue_shakes_logoThe Circle is a work of devised theatre intended to build ensemble through collaborative work. Exploring source material connected to each play, this exciting format features an original script rooted in the company’s season’s overarching theme of treason. The Circle incorporates movement, music, and even a little mayhem designed to heighten the company’s relationship to and understanding of the characters, plots, and themes of our five subsequent early modern plays. The show runs for two performances, Saturday, September 7 and Monday, September 9 (with Sunday, September 8 as a rain day). The show will begin at 7 p.m. at the entrance to Grafton Library. Please wear comfortable shoes. If you are unable to climb stairs, please contact us in advance for handicapped accessibility information at rogueshakes@gmail.com.

Admission is free; donations are accepted.
