Study what you love. Right out of the gate.
It starts when you first arrive on campus. Here at MBU, students plug into opportunity immediately and access opportunities usually reserved for upperclassmen and graduate students at larger universities.
First-year artists take the stage in front of the curtain, behind the lens, or in the gallery. As freshmen, future teachers have a 90-hour practicum in a local classroom. Emerging business leaders build a marketing plan for local Staunton businesses.
University College is the co-educational experience for undergraduate students who want to live on campus. Students in University College can choose from more than 50 majors and minors and live in co-ed residence halls.
Special Focus Areas
If you already know what your academic passion is, University College also offers special focus areas in healthcare and medicine, education, Shakespeare and performing arts, and business. Added benefits in these areas include dedicated advisors, collaborative living-learning community, first-year field experiences, professional networking, and optional four- or five-year master’s degree.
“Mary Baldwin is a place where every students has a voice, every student can discover what they love to do and do it, and every student will make their mark on the university’s history.”
